The Venezuelan American Endowment for the Arts is going to put on the map the name of the artist who will be given the Paez Medal of Arts, an award that is delivered once a year to an artist or group of people that had had an impact and had contributed to the excellence, growth, support and proliferation of the arts in Venezuela and the U.S.
Back in 2012, the medal was handed to Venezuelan Master Carlos Cruz-Diez within the framework of a ceremony that took place at New York City’s Museum of Art and Design, on November 16.
The Venezuelan American Endowment for the Arts (VAEA) was founded on June 13, 1990, in New York. VAEA is a non-profitable organization that over the past 22 years has promoted bonds of friendships between the US and Venezuela through cultural and social programs.
