An exhibition under this title was open at the Latin American Gallery of Casa de las Americas on Friday Oct. 1. The show gathers samples from the collection at the Center for Cultural Diversity in Caracas.
Since its foundation in 2005, this institution has conducted the registration and study –as well as the spread and implementation- of Venezuela’s cultural processes. Through a thorough effort, this entity has carried out ethnographic research on the peoples of each and every one of the country’s states.
By means of this exhibition, spectators can take a closer look at traditions and customs that have prevailed over the past 500 years in a nation whose population doesn’t give in to the domination of outer cultures.
