To contribute to the knowledge and dissemination of the prolific creation of the naif artists in the field of contemporary Cuban art, the National Council of Plastic Arts and the Center for the Development of Visual Arts summon the Art Festival Naif 2014, to be held in Havana in the month of November.
The works will be received at the Center, from October 1st until October 17th, 2014.
Cuban artists all residents in the country may participate, in the demonstration of painting and free theme. Each creator can submit up to two works of small or medium format (80cm x 60cm), pieces to be delivered mounted on frames or tableaus, accompanied by the author's personal data.
Also, an updated resume and sheet of each piece will be included as well as the title, the technique employed in their realization, the dimensions and the completion date should be attached.
The works may be delivered in the Provincial Arts Councils in each territory, which are responsible for the care and transfer of them. These will be returned after the event finishes, from December 2014 to February 2015.
Artists who wish to personally deliver and collect their work can do so at the Center's headquarters, located in 352 San Ignacio street, Teniente Rey corner, Plaza Vieja, Old Havana.
The First Prize will be the opportunity to perform a solo exhibition within the Centre for the Development of Visual Arts. The Second place will choose the same option but to be made ??on another of the most important galleries in the capital.
The jury will be composed of specialists, critics and artists whose verdict will be final.
