Leo Brouwer announced this week the presence of larger-than-life American musician Bobby McFerrin in Havana in September.
The author of “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” (1988), a versatile musician and exceptionally-gifted vocalist, his first performance in Cuba is scheduled to take place on September 27 during the opening of the Chamber Music Festival, to be held in that capital.
“The presence of McFerrin has been confirmed. We are just waiting for the State Department to approve it, but it seems there won’t be any setback”, Brouwer, organizer of the Festival told OnCuba magazine.
“He will only have one guest in his show, a very special one, master Chucho Valdés”, Brouwer commented.
