Sala Alcalá 31 exhibits, April 29 - July 27, Chema Conesa. Paper Portraits (Chema Conesa. Retratos de papel), a retrospective by the artist that was given the 2011 Culture Award on Photography, Community of Madrid. Chema Conesa (Murcia, 1952), a journalist and portrait specialized photographer, is one of the boldface names in terms of Spanish photography. His work merges mastery, heart, brain and techniques. His portraits are accurate radiographies of the most outstanding protagonists of Spain’s history over the past 35 years.
This display gathers more than one hundred pictures of the most important figures, magnificent portraits Conesa has taken of politicians, intellectuals, sports men and women, writers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, etc. The show is complemented by an audiovisual work.
