Matching the beginning of Barcelona’s season of contemporary art galleries, Circuit d'Art Contemporani, a tour around 37 galleries, museums, foundations and art centers, will be promoting contemporary art in the city.
This initiative puts together programs of galleries and art centers, thus highlighting outstanding places of exhibition and creation by putting a striking flagpole in front of each center, a QR code with all the information, one contactless device and one guide.
“It’s an innovative, stable and resounding action aimed at people that live in Barcelona and visitors, which consists of spreading and shedding light on proposals of 37 contemporary art public and private spaces”, said Joan Anton Maragall, president of Art Barcelona gallery association.
The selection of spaces to make up this Circuit, which has been conceived for a three-year period with 240,000 euros given private sponsors for budget, has been carried out by Llucià Homs, director of Promoció dels Sectors Culturals Barcelona City Hall, and Josep Maria Civit, Carlos Duran, Àngels de la Mota, Joan de Muga and Carles Taché, representatives of Art Barcelona.
