Curated by Charles Teyssou and Pierre-Alexandre Mateos, the Art Basel Paris Conversations 2024 celebrates the avant-gardes and dives deep into the art world. Experience live debates, in English and French, with over 35 thought leaders including artist Nil Yalter, Pinault Collection Director Emma Lavigne, and Dakar Biennial artistic director Salimata Diop.

‘The Art Basel Paris 2024 Conversations program is devoted to Parisian mythologies and the idea of duality,’ say Teyssou and Mateos. ‘Through 11 conversations featuring international guests, themes of transgression, the ugly, and street culture will take center stage. This rich edition will be full of surprises and give voice to Paris, its diasporas, its ghosts, its poets, and its liminal spaces.’

Premiere Artist Talk: Nil Yalter

The recipient of the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2024 Venice Biennale, Nil Yalter is a rebellious artist. From her participation in May ‘68, then in the second feminist wave and its sexual liberation, to her work denouncing the plight of immigrants in the West, Yalter gives a voice to those who have none. This conversation traces the evolution of an artist whose multifarious practice is finally getting the attention it deserves.
