Madrid: December 30 is the deadline for the reception of entries to the first edition of the Galeria Cero International Photography Prize, a contest targeting youngsters with a discourse of their own and notorious boldness.
The Galeria Cero Prize is by and large Spain’s largest money award with 18,000 euros for the top winner and some 3,000 euros for the runner-up. In addition, the top winner will be entitled to mount an individual exhibition in Galeria Cero.
This continuation-seeking proposal intends to support emerging artists with difficulties to showcase their works in the art market.
The jury is made up of Alicia Murria (editor of the ARTECONTEXTO magazine and exhibit commissioner); Ciuco Gutierrez (photographer); Daniel Canogar (visual artist); Jose Guirao (director of La Casa Encendida); Mariano Navarro (art critic and exhibit commissioner), and Agustin Perez de Guzman, director of Galeria Cero.
