Deal to Found the El Salvador Gastronomy Academy

One of the important s momentswhich it took place on Friday October 6 within the framework of the Central American Travel Market (CATM 2017), held in El Salvador, was the signing of a letter of intent for the creation of the Gastronomy Academy of El Salvador.

In a brief ceremony at the opening of CATM 2017, the agreement was signed by Minister of Tourism of El Salvador, His Excellency Mr. Napoleon Duarte;Mrs. Beatriz Flamenco de Contreras, president of the Salvadoran Chamber of Tourism (CASATUR is the Englisg acronym), and Mr. José Carlos de Santiago, ambassador of the Latin American Gastronomy Academy and president of Excelencias Group.

The document includes the commitment of the parties to providing the necessary means for the successful establishment of the Gastronomic Academy of El Salvador, as well as to establishing a permanent and open framework for dialogue between the public and private sectors in order to propose actions, cooperation projects and programs of mutual assistance in the interest of the gastronomic development of the Central American country.

Also as part of the media actions prior to the constitution of the Gastronomy Academy of El Salvador, the three parties appeared on Friday in the national television of the Central American nation, specifically the "8 in Punto" show broadcast on Channel 33.

In this television program, Mr. José Carlos de Santiago addressed the work of the Iberian-American Gastronomy Academy and commented on the work conducted by the Excelencias Group, a company he presides and that is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The official constitution of the Gastronomic Academy of El Salvador will be held in coming weeks.
