Excelencias Gourmet 2016 Photography Contest

As part of the celebration for the tenth anniversary of Excelencias Gourmet magazine, all enthusiasts are invited to participate in the Gourmet 2016 Photography Contest, to be carried out on the eve of the Excelencias Group’s 6th International Gastronomic Seminar.

 

All (amateur or professional) national and foreign photographers are allowed to participate and send three images before June 10:

 

- A bottle of any drink (full and sealed)

 

- A cocktail (in a recipient without any engraving).

 

- A dish with food (with attractive decoration).

 

The pictures can be taken with any type of camera (except for cell phones or tablets) and anywhere.

 

The pictures are to be emailed to:

 

banco_fotografia@excelencias.co.cu, ferval@excelencias.co.cu and editor@excelenciasgourmet.com, with the following details:

 

-Name and surname

 

-City and country

 

-Workplace or study institution

 

-Telephone number

 

The pictures must be sent in jpg format, 800 KB minimum. The main aspects to be evaluated are illumination, framing, composition and visual impact of the images.

 

The pictures must have been shot by the photographer and they cannot be digitally manipulated or modified (only technical adjustments, no montages are allowed). Only colored pictures will be accepted. The pictures must be unpublished.

 

5 contestants will be chosen for the grand finale, to be held on June 15 at Hotel Nacional de Cuba, within the framework of the Excelencias Group’s 6th International Gastronomic Seminar. The participants can use any photographic equipment they need (the finalists will be given further details).

 

The names of the winners are going to be announced on June 17, during the closing ceremony of the Seminar.

 

The list of prizes include maintenance and cleaning service for the winners’ equipment, photography accessories, publication of the images on our digital and printed media, dinner for two (for free) at a restaurant of the capital, as well as the possibility to join our collaborating staff.

 

The jury is made up of specialists of the Excelencias Group and national and foreign gastronomic professionals.

 

By participating in the contest, you are agreeing to cede the rights for us to publish the images sent or taken in the grand finale.
