_VIGILGONZALES invites you to the opening of Como si la verdad importara, the first solo exhibition of Javier Barilaro outside of Argentina, at ICPNA Miraflores - Venancio Shinki Space (Av. Angamos Oeste 120, Lima - Peru).
In this exhibition, Javier Barilaro challenges perception through a series of paintings that oscillate between subtlety and drama.
Six minimally colored canvases reveal unexpected details up close, contrasting with a seventh piece set against a high-contrast black background.
His painting process explores error, the layering of surfaces, and the act of erasure as a creative strategy. Geographical cultural references shape scenes that evoke both real and imaginary landscapes.
The exhibition opens on Tuesday, April 22 at 7 PM at ICPNA Miraflores – Venancio Shinki Space (Av. Angamos Oeste 120 – Lima, Peru)
