Haydée Milanés is scheduled to give a unique concert, with a special repertoire, on December 29 at the Covarrubias Hall of Cuba’s National Theater.
With this performance, the singer will be celebrating the end of 2016 and the 10th anniversary of the recording of Haydée Milanés en vivo at that very location.
As a tribute to the second album of her career and confirmation of her tireless dedication to work, the artist once again follows the premise that fostered the creation of that album back in 2006, since she now rescues valuable songs of outstanding Cuban figures from such genres as trova, filin, bolero, son, as well as her own lyrics and others created by Brazilian authors.
Described as one of the most authentic defenders of Cuban songs within the young generation of musical creators on the island nation, Haydée Milanés is set to strengthen the maturity and freshness of her style, a true artistic and personal achievement that has been praised throughout her career.
It’s important to mention that, on November 9, Mexican La Razón newspaper handpicked her "Haydée Milanés en vivo" as the album of the week, which was described by critic Carlos Olivares as “an elegant recitation that engulfs pop, filin, trova, bolero and jazz”.
Likewise, when talking about the young singer’s performance, he pointed out: “Haydée is an undisputable innovator in the Cuban song realm”.
The audience present at the Covarrubias Hall of Cuba’s National Theater on December 29 is going to enjoy a special meeting with Haydée Milanés and her great creative universe.
