International Women's Day 2015 at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza

On the occasion of the celebration on Sunday the International Women's Day, from the Education Department of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum have prepared a series of thematic itineraries by works from the permanent collection that will take place every Monday from March Day 9 and with free access.

Women and Power, creative collaborations, Women and Women and fashion and art are the topics addressed in these visits, with selected by participating in educational programs of the Museum and developed in collaboration with members of the Department of Education and Volunteer team works. Each itinerary is presented as a conversation between one of our participants and a professional area or volunteer, also inviting to dialogue with the audience. It has counted with the collaboration of organizations like FEAPS, Pueblos Unidos, Center for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of America and the Commission of Inquiry Violence Against Women.

This proposal seeks to give visibility to the participation of women in the museum's activities and presence in our institution, continuing to We program, which includes gender projects developed in recent years by the Department of Education, which arises from interest in applying the gender perspective into the educational activities of the Museum and the demand for different groups of women participating in some of our programs. Within the program We have collaborated with other institutions and associations, seminars, tours of the collections and resources have been generated reviewing the collection, all following our educational line of shared knowledge.

Every Monday March from 12.30 to 13.30, will take one of these tours, previously signing the same day of the visit at a meeting point installed in the hall of the Museum and a maximum of 15 people.
