MADRIDFOTO in May

The third edition of MADRIDFOTO will come to pass on May 5-8 in Pavilion One of the Madrid Fairgrounds (IFEMA).

Like in previous editions, the space will be especially designed for Andrés Jaque in an effort to make this visit a comfy and nice experience for spectators and, on the other hand, underscore the exposed artworks in the different galleries. Booths, hallways, resting areas and VIP zones will be fitted out in a bid to provide visitors with better assistance.

MADRIDFOTO is aimed at new photographic collecting, together with a series of activities designed to boost photography and its expansion in the market as a form of expression.

In its latest edition, MADRIDFOTO welcomed over 15,000 visitors and enjoyed a massive turnout of foreign exhibitors (USA, UK, Portugal, Italy, Luxemburg, France, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Canada and Mexico), in addition to 22 galleries from Madrid, 8 galleries from Catalonia and a dozen galleries from the rest of Spain.

Sticking to the 2010 initiative, MADRIDFOTO 2011 will organize chats, meetings and other functions designed for commissioners, programmers and museum directors attending this event.

MADRIDFOTO is the only international fair specialized in Spain’s contemporary photography, aimed at emerging private, corporative and institutional collecting.
