Every 1st. December is the Day of the Abolition of the Army in Costa Rica. In 1948, José Figueres Ferrer, after a civil war that notch that armed institution, decided to abolish it, and the Bellavista barracks became the National Museum. Education and health are free. The country has a strong economy. However, this Central American people suffer the insidious attack of neoliberalism.
Our first destination is Drake Bay, a heavenly harbor in the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. There will be our first dive. It is spectacular to see a wonderful world that we have hardly seen anything on television. How much life and how much strength does the underwater landscape have.
We will definitely be back. Everything made a great impression on us. The nature is imposing, and we still have not visit the Caribbean. For being the first time, it's great.
