Information on Forensic Curatorship’s Residency Program

Since January 2010, Forensic Curatorship has coordinated – along with seven South American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Uruguay) - 17 summer camp-styled residencies on contemporary art, which have been attended by 220 contemporary art artists, curators, researchers, historians and agents.

Each of them is based on the cooperative work among the participants, guests and local cultural agents and the ultimate goal is to tackle relevant contemporary art matters, by placing emphasis on the debate, research and production through meetings, talks, interventions, records (photographic, video, sound, etc.) and analysis texts, among others.

These residencies are aimed at contemporary visual artists, historians and art researchers, curators, managers and other cultural agents.
