What Artists Should Be Proposed for 2015 #ARCOmadrid? That’s what matters!

The upcoming edition of the show will once again focus its attention on artists in all sections and dedicate exclusive spaces to shed light on solo projects or establish dialogues with artists within the framework of the Solo/Duo proposal.

The Organizing Committee for the 2015 edition of the show is going to be made up of: Josep Aloy, Polygraph, Barcelona; Mira Bernabeu, Espaivisor- Visor Gallery, Valencia; Luciana Brito, Luciana Brito Gallery, São Paulo; Pedro Cera, Pedro Cera Gallery, Lisbon; Christopher Grimes, Christopher Grimes Gallery, Santa Monica, CA; Alex Mor, Mor·Charpentier, Paris/Bogota; Iñigo Navarro, Leandro Navarro Gallery, Madrid; Silvia Ortiz, Travesía Cuatro Gallery, Madrid/Guadalajara; Guillermo Romero, Parra & Romero, Madrid, and Thomas Schulte, Thomas Schulte Gallery, Berlin.

As singular as usual, the 2015 edition of the show will represent a meeting spot for galleries, curators, directors of institutions and biennales, and collectors. A space that is going to offer the possibility to share projects and ideas, following the 2014 guideline that attracted over 200 professionals and 300 guest collectors.

Colombia will be the guest country with a group of galleries chosen by Juan A. Gaitán and a program with plenty of exhibitions and presentations in different institutions of the city. #ArcoColombia will count on the support provided by Colombia’s Embassy in Spain and the Culture Ministry of Colombia.

#Opening, the section for new galleries, will have Chris Sharp as a curator of the section, accompanied by Luiza Teixeira de Freitas. This year, first time ever, the section is set to include Spanish galleries handpicked by the curators.

#SoloProjects becomes a space to represent creation and debate in terms of Latin American art, directed by Irene Hoffman and Lucía Sanromán, with the participation of other Latin American curators and art critics.

The application forms to participate in 2015#ARCOmadrid will be available on our website through July 1.
