Teresa Serrano (Mexico D. F, 1936) is one of the most interesting, creative and convincing Latin American visual artists, with a long-standing international artistic career. Her artistic production is singular and powerful, and it includes works created by means of different disciplines she has applied to build a creative discourse in which ethic and aesthetic, shape and content shake hands, interweaving elements with a sincere and profound personal and artistic implication.
She has focused her work on different matters, but most of her pieces tackle approaches and discourses on gender, from a feminist point of view. These approaches and perspectives, along with a selection of audiovisual and photographic works grouped into different themes, have been the base to organize this solo show to be displayed by artist Teresa Serrano in Artium, starting on January 31, titled Teresa Serrano. Albur de amor.
