Held in a 5,000 sqm purpose-built temporary venue, the 8th edition of Luxembourg Art Week will welcome more than 80 galleries, artist-run spaces and institutions, and 17,000 expected visitors.
Participating galleries from 14 countries will showcase 1,500 artworks from 400 artists across three sections. Main Section brings together 49 established contemporary and secondary market art galleries presenting internationally renowned positions. SOLO, the discovery section, features six individual shows and an in-depth understanding of the artistic production of selected artists. Take Off, the prospective section, further presents 25 young emerging galleries, artist run-spaces and institutions.
On that occasion, French artist Adrien Vescovi (b. 1981) was invited to produce a series of works unveiled as a curated large-scale site-specific installation in the restaurant premises of the fair. These monumental paintings will dialogue with suspended sculptural compositions of the young florist Kathlyn Wohl (Infiiorata) and objects of the Berlin-based design office ARGUMENT, and therefore participates in the fair's trademark warmth and friendly atmosphere.
