Come to participate in ARTESANTANDER

The 28th ARTESANTANDER International Contemporary Art Fair 2019 will be held from July 13 to 17 at the Santander Exhibition and Congress Center with the possibility of free access.

By agreement of the institutional managers at the proposal of the fair's director, the concept of the "Solo Projects" fair is maintained, with 42 participating galleries, intending on one hand to contribute to the value of contemporary art and on the other to take advantage of the inertia that will generate again the seventh course organized by the Institute of Contemporary Art and the Association of Collectors 9915, included in the 2019 Program of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP). In this edition under the heading "The professional sector of contemporary art and collecting. A better future through dialogue and debate ", will take place in Santander, in the month of July at the Palacio de la Magdalena, headquarters of the International University.

The fair renews part of the members of the Selection Committee: In addition to the two participants of the previous edition, Beatriz Espejo (art critic, Bachelor of Art History from the University of Barcelona and Master in Art Criticism and Communication from the University of Gerona. Since January 2017 she is responsible for the Babelia art section of El País) and Susana Blas (curator and historian of contemporary art, specializing in audiovisual creation) are added to the staff Rafael Ortiz (director of the Gallery of Art that currently bears his name, his career is marked by a wide participation in international fairs), Fer Frances (gallerist and curator of contemporary art) and Óscar Alonso Molina (art critic and independent curator of exhibitions). Each gallery can present ONE UNIQUE PROJECT to be evaluated by the selection committee.
