Curated by Kimberly Bradley, our 2024 program explores the current trends and transformations in the contemporary art world. Experience live debates with thought leaders including artists Shirin Neshat and Harmony Korine, philanthropist Pamela J. Joyner, and Director and CEO of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation Dr. Mariët Westermann.
'This edition of Conversations takes the pulse of the art world’s many ongoing
paradigm shifts – some of them subtle, others more dramatic,' says Bradley. 'New tendencies, and potentials, are emerging for artists, collectors, and institutions.'
The program runs from December 5 to 7 in the auditorium, level 2 North, Miami Beach Convention Center. Book your free seat now.
Premier Artist Talk: Shirin Neshat
For more than four decades, Iranian-born, New York-based artist Shirin Neshat’s art has challenged societal norms, in particular those of her birth country, with evocative imagery that is as poetic as it is political, as melancholic as it is mystical. Her work as a photographer, video artist, filmmaker, and most recently, opera director consistently celebrates the power – and empowerment – of women. From her youth in Iran to next year’s restaging of Verdi’s Aida at the Paris Opera, this talk surveys the celebrated artist’s life and work.
