Feriarte 2019 brings you the Renaissance

Madrid will once again become the epicenter of art and antiques with the celebration of a new edition of FERIARTE, which this year will pay tribute to the Renaissance. From November 16 to 24, IFEMA Hall 4 will gather thousands of exclusive pieces presented by 80 antique dealers and art galleries. Exceptional objects for collectors and art lovers who can appreciate from a female nude signed by the impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir, to a head of a mummy of the New Kingdom of Egypt.

Dozens of antique dealers will provide the best selection of their collections. There is something for everyone: from furniture and decorative arts from the High Era, through the Louis XVI style, objects of decoration, collection and jewelry, including the Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Eduardino, Alfonsino styles, to archeology pieces, Tribal Art, Pre-Columbian and Oriental.

In addition, to all this will be added the offer of art galleries, with contemporary painting and sculpture by renowned artists. Thus, you can see works, among others, by Miquel Barceló, Rafael Canogar, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, Salvador Dalí, Manolo Valdés, Eduardo Chillida, Jorge Oteiza, Menchu ​​Gal and Darío de Regoyos.

The quality of the contents will be the best claim to attract collectors, professionals, decorators, interior designers and lovers of art and antiques to a room that this year will have a great novelty: on Tuesday, November 19, the collector's day will be celebrated with an Open day and free entrance to the fair.

In addition, Feriarte will again host the #YouArt initiative, aimed at those who are starting to collect, with pieces for an amount less than 5,000 euros. In the same way, presentations will be held aimed at the youngest public, organized with the collaboration of the Master in Art Market Management of the Rey Juan Carlos University, whose students will also take guided tours of the fair.

In addition to the stands themselves, the Renaissance winks can be seen in the program of activities that will offer visitors interesting content about the art market taught by professionals in the field.

One of the star conferences of this edition will be that of Don Lorenzo de ’Medici, 16th direct descendant of Lorenzo the Magnificent, who will talk about the Renaissance, the contribution to the art of the Medici family and its relationship with Leonardo da Vinci. It will also be given, among others, a presentation on the perfumes of the Renaissance.

FERIARTE, which celebrates its 43rd edition on this occasion, represents the only art and antiques fair in Spain and the space for international collectors to take advantage of the business opportunities offered by the Salon.

Organized by IFEMA, the Art and Antiquities Fair is held from November 16 to 24 in IFEMA Hall 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
