Documentary about The Rolling Stones’ concert in Havana to be screened on September 23

This spring The Rolling Stones became the first British rock band to offer a free outdoors concert for hundreds of thousands people in Havana, Cuba. The group is now releasing a film about the concert, celebrated last March 25 at Havana’s Ciudad Deportiva to be screened around the world in a one night screening option.   

The title of this documentary is Havana Moon: The Rolling Stones Live in Cuba—named after a Chuck Berry song and directed by Paul Dugdale, who had already filmed the great concert The Stones made at Hyde Park in 2013 and other concerts by Coldplay, Adele and One Direction—and it will be screened in theatres on September 23, as per information on the famous group’s magazine. 

“The show in Cuba was absolutely dazzling”, Mick Jagger said in a declaration. “It was an amazing moment; you could see a huge sea of people all over the place and feel the crowd’s enthusiastic sound and that was the top moment for me”.

“There are the sun, the moon, the stars and The Rolling Stones,” Keith Richards said. “To watch Cuba finally having the opportunity to rock was special—a night to remember in Havana”.          

The group claimed the concert gathered around one million people who sung hits like (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, You Got the Silver and Before They Make Me Run. Cuban vocal group Entrevoces joined them for You Can’t Always Get What You Want.

A couple of days after their performance, The Rolling Stones revealed a video of their performance in Cuba, with some comments of the band. “Cuba has ….many types of musicians, all of them bright,” Jagger expressed. “It was inevitable for us to perform here someday”.
