Santiago de Cuba.- The Washington Post journal has praised the Septet Santiaguero (SS) band´s performance in the US capital, where the public packed the hall and several people were unable to enjoy this musical presentation.

As reported by the US journal, Fritz Hahn remarked 'the effervescent percussion and brave brasses' of the songs in the latest Raiz album, and praised the party setting that it recreates.

According to the band´s sources, during the present tour they already performed in Cleveland, Philadelphia and Albany, with the opportunity to do so this week in Brooklyn, the R&B Festival of the Brooklyn Academy of Music and at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.

They also emphasized that the official premiere of this record production in the United States from Joe's Pub at The Public will also carry out, and from Friday 28 this album will be digitally available for the rest of the world.

The album, made up of 14 tracks and two bonus tracks, has a great variety of Cuban musical genres and is a chronological tour in honor of great Cuban musicians´ work who have been quite significant for the Septeto Santiaguero band´s musical career.

This album was made in luxury collaborations with universal jazz musicians such as Nicholas Payton and Arturo O'Farrill, prestigious salsa singers as Ruben Blades, Medoro Wood; Charlie Aponte and Alfredo de la Fe.
