Carles Pujol: Efímer, Fràgil i Ínfim

Carles Pujol (Barcelona, 1947) presents his work in the Gallery Antoni Pinyol, on September 10 at 13h, in an exhibition that will last until October 5, 2016.

Carles Pujol, from 1975 becomes a leader for the video works in Catalonia, a practice that has combined with videoinstallations, large format painting, drawing and actions. The artist has changed its means, but not the conceptual essence of his practice, which has been addressed on various art issues as the ephemeral concept, as the eternal, of the work and the demystifying of the artist.

From the beginning, Carles Pujol took side in the world of painting, for the aspect that gives the basic support of the canvas, "composition", which is, itself, an intellectually abstract concept, and this idea, when transferred to the canvas, it yields the world of space, in a way that when detached from the two-dimensionality, goes to the three-dimensionality state of the place where the work is being carried out.
