Argentine artist Nora Aslan is taking part of the major exhibition Prosperous Poison: on the Feminist Appropriation of the Austrian Unconscious at MUMOK -Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig- in Vienna, Austria.
Structured as a narrative, exhibition Prosperous Poison arranges the holdings of MUMOK’S collection from 1945 to the present into five chapters—Taking Pictures of the Boys, Imitating the Imitations of the Imitators, Love, Taking Care: Capitalistic Yoga and Anger Issues, and Schlachten Material Prothesen—. Careful study of the artworks themselves, the artistic positions associated with them, and the structure of the collection as a whole brought to light the cultural, social, political, and economic developments and discourses that had influenced the works and their collection history.
Featuring significant artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Sophie Calle, Candida Höfer and Nora Aslan, among others, it will be carried out from September 10th, 2015, to April 24th, 2016.
