Achieving integration among institutions engulfed by the Cuban culture system, that’s one of Artex’s goals. That’s why, in line with the promotion process developed by the national radio— with Radio Rebelde since 1994—, that entity unveiled a new project linked to Radio Taíno’s“A buena hora” show, which is set to have one of its Cultural Centers, El Café Miramar, as stage.
Offering the public a musical show, hosted by a renowned musician that will be welcoming guests in a sort of jam session, thus creating interesting and authentic spaces, that’s one of this project’s objectives. It’s scheduled to be broadcasted live on Saturdays, 2 - 4 p.m., for Cuba in FM and the world by means of the Internet.
The popular radio show was founded 22 years ago and, on Saturdays, it’ll go out of its usual space and move to the above-mentioned cultural center, as an unrepeatable artistic development.
Manolo Luis, Director of “A buena Hora” and creator of the idea, explained that Café Miramar was chosen to be the stage due to its technical conditions.
During the press conference, this space was praised due to its importance in terms of the advertising and marketing of the company’s artist catalog, as well as other institutions and artists, so the project was acclaimed.
The beginning of this new proposal, aired by Radio Taíno as “Descarga a Buena Hora” is slated to take place on Saturday September 3, with César López and Havana Ensemble as hosts.
Nothing will be charged in the first stage, so the attending public will have the opportunity to enjoy a show of high esthetic and cultural value for free.
On the other hand, the organizers announced a deluxe September program made up of hosts Orlando Valle “Maraca” on the 10th, Zule Guerra on the 18th and Alejandro Falcón on Sept 25th.
Devoted to Jazz since its opening back in 2013, Café Miramar, located on 5th Avenue and 94th corner, has become a can’t-miss place for jazzmen from Cuba and around the world, who are pleased by the premise’s intimate environment and excellent acoustic, which is complemented by high quality gastronomic service and offers for all preferences. Starting on Sept 3rd, it’ll be hosting a new cultural option on Saturdays, with great expectation, not only for Artex and Radio Taíno, but also for musicians and the general public.
