AGUSTINA FERREYRA, winner of the OPENING AWARD ARCOmadrid 2016

Madrid.- The gallery AGUSTINA FERREYRA from San Juan, Puerto Rico has been awarded the second Edition of the Opening Award. This award recognises the best stand of the Opening section with the refund of the cost of their booth at ARCOmadrid. The panel, made up by Laura Batkins, independent curator; Lucía Casani, director of La Casa Encendida; Albertine de Galbert, independent curator and founder of www.arte-sur.org; Joseph del Pesco, director-founder of Kadist Art Foundation – San Francisco; Lucía Sanromán, director of Artes Visuales de Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and co-director of Solo Projects in ARCOmadrid; Alexia Tala, freelance curator; Javier Villa, curator of Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, has recognised with this award the projects by the artists Irma Álvarez-Laviada and Adriana Minoliti, both of them represented by the awarded gallery.
