Music Festival in Cuba to gather singers from 8 countries

Musicians from 8 countries will perform at the World Music Havana festival in Cuba on February 6 and 7, announced the event organizers.

 

The second edition of the festival will feature the participation of the French-Latin American composer, singer DJ David Walters, Moroccan singer Aziz Sahmaoui and French DJ Philippe Cohen, member of the famous electronic tango band Gotan Project.

 

Also confirmed their attendance the Instituto Mexicano del Sonido band, representative of the best local miscegenation, and the Spaniards of Muchachito bombo infierno, who announced a musical tour through their three albums, in which they mix rock, funk and flamenco.

 

The concerts will take place at the Metropolitano capital Park. From Cuba, high level musicians will perform such as the jazz musician Roberto Fonseca, singer Isaac Delgado, the singer and song writer Tony Avila and the bass players Yusa and Alain Pérez.

 

According to the local press, African Sahmaoui will arrive in Cuba with his band titled University of Gnawa, composed by Moroccan and Senegalese musicians who joined the band to enrich it with a range of traditional African rhythms mixed with jazz and rock.
