Havana. Nov 20.- Eliades Ochoa, Pablo Milanés, Descemer Bueno and the Group Gente de Zona, are among the artists to be on stage today at the Grand Arena of Las Vegas, during the awarding ceremony of the Grammy Latinos. The popular song Bailando, composed by Descemer Bueno and interpreted by Spanish Enrique Iglesias together with Gente de Zona, share nominations in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Urban Performance and Best Urban Song.
Bueno opts for the award as Best Tropical Song as coauthor together with Enrique Iglesias, for the theme Loco, defended by Enrique Iglesias and Romeo Santos.
The phonogram "El Eliades que soy" composed by Eliades Ochoa , born in Santiago de Cuba and his quartet Patria, competes in the category of Best Tropical Album.
Among the nominated to Best Songwriter Album is Cuban Pablo Milanes with his record Renaciendo (Born Again) licensed by Universal Music of Mexico.
Cuban Pianist and producer Leonardo Gell, is another of the artists present in this edition with the phonogram Music of Costa Rican composers Vol.1, recorded together with the Symphonic Orchestra of that nation and aspiring to become the Best Album of Classic Music.
Also, the Catrina Quartet, with the álbum String Quartet No.2 of guitarrist Yalil Guerra, tries to get the prize to Best Classic Contemporary Composition, together with her compact disc First Class to Havana, singer Aymee Nuviola aspires to win prize for Best Album of Salsa.
The contest organized every year by the Latin Academy of Arts and Sciences of Recording, has prepared for this gala ceremony the performances of Pepe Aguilar, Miguel Bose, Pablo Alboran, Jesse-Joy, Marc Anthony, Carlos Vives, Carlos Santana, Pitbull and Calle 13.
On stage will also be Ricky Martin, Juanes and Joan Manuel Serrat, as part of the 15th edition of Grammy Latinos Awards.
