Between September 19 and 22, Madrid will once again become epicenter of contemporary art with APERTURA 2013 being held. Nearly 50 simultaneous inaugurations and a comprehensive program of activities in museums and art centers will be boosting the social impact of visual creation and cultural industries.
The exhibitions chosen by the galleries to kick the season off include international artists such as John Isaacs, Dan Flavin or Ron Arad, combined with solo shows by Spanish Jacobo Castellano or Alicia Framis and such classics as Pablo Gargallo.
The work of Latin American emerging creators is also going to be showcased, including Ximena Garrido-Lecca, Laureana Toledo or Jose Hidalgo, among others.
The fourth edition, organized by the Association of galleries ARTE_MADRID, follows the lead such events as Berlin’s or New York’s Gallery Weekend.
