Madrid: Torrearte, S.L., Local Development Agency of Torremocha de Jarama’s City Hall announced the 5th Women and Art Contest of Plastic and Visual Arts aimed at supporting, boosting and promoting works of art made by contemporary women artists.
Only one of all works of art submitted to the contest will receive the prize consisting of €600 and the organization of an individual exhibition in 2012 at Torrearte’s Exhibition Hall.
The contest is addressed to all women artists who have reached the age of majority, of any nationality. Authors can submit only one work of art of any genre, and no artistic, technical or theme limitations have been set.

The following documents must be attached: registration forms (two copies duly filled and signed), photocopy of D.N.I., passport or residence card, CV, photo dossier of the most recent works, photos/s (4 maximum) of the work submitted to the contest with a clear mark on the back indicating the position, and a brief conceptual description. Any other explanatory document considered important by the artist can be attached. Submission deadline is March 1, 2011.
