Within the framework Pinta Countries, a section of the Pinta Art Fair that takes place during Pinta Miami 2019, the curator Florencia Battiti explains the curatorial concept, the galleries and the artists that make up Pinta Argentina. For an integral selection, Battiti opted for galleries from different parts of Argentina, in order to "give an account of the artistic production beyond the city of Buenos Aires," he explains.
The galleries participating in Pinta Argentina are:
Crudo (Rosario)
Diego Obligado (Rosario)
Gabriela Gabelich (Rosario)
Olga Martínez Contemporary Art (Buenos Aires)
Quimera (Buenos Aires)
Although the call for artists is diverse, in the sense that they are exhibiting young emerging artists, and figures with a more solid track record, such as Román Vitali, who presents a single show in the booth of Diego Obligado, all were selected under. In the words of Battiti: "The fundamental thing is the presence of artists whose works are inscribed in the Latin American reality of which Argentina is a part” the curator argues, ”In turn, figures that formally and conceptually dialogue with global issues, whether of formal or thematic artistic character "
