Julio Ruslán Torres Leyva
Born in Holguín, Cuba, 1976
Graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA), Havana. Master in Arts. Head of the Painting Department of the ISA Plastic Arts Faculty. Member of UNEAC and DUPP. Since 2001 he has developed the project L-Conduct-Art with students from the Higher Arts Institute. Head of the Public Interventions Department project (DIP). His works have been exhibited in Cuba, Switzerland, Brazil, Lebanon, China, Colombia, Spain, Germany and United States. He participated in the Contemporary Cuban Art Salon and in the Havana Biennial. His works are part of institutional and private collections in Cuba, United States, Mexico, Switzerland, Germany and Peru. He has conducted lectures and workshops in Cuba and abroad.
He is currently Head of the Painting Department of the Faculty of Plastic Arts, Higher Arts Institute, Havana, Cuba.
