Eduardo Rubén García Herrera
Born in Havana in 1958
Graduated of Architecture in 1982 and member of the League of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC). He has fulfilled one-man exhibitions in Cuba, Poland, Spain, Portugal, United States and Dominican Republic and he has also participated in group exhibitions in Spain, Chile, Colombia, France, Turkey, Portugal, Hungary, Mexico, United States, Denmark, Canada, Japan and Brazil among other countries. It worth to quote his participation in the National Contests of Plastic Arts, Contemporary Art Salons, the I, V and IX Havana Biennials, the I Painting Biennial of Cuenca, Equator in 1987, and so in the III International Biennial of Cairo City, Egypt in 1988, in the I Biennial of Painting of the Caribbean in Santo Domingo in 1982, in the XLVI Venice Biennial, Italy in 1985, in the ArteBA Fair´98 in Argentina, in the ARCO Fair of Madrid in 2002 and in the event Photoimagen 2007 in Dominican Republic.He has been awarded several times, for example: Mention in Painting in the I Havana Biennial in 1984, Prize in Painting at the National Plastic Arts Salon UNEAC´90 and the Distinction for the National Culture in 1994.
