Douglas Arguelles Cruz
Born in Havana, Cuba, 1977
Graduated from San Alejandro Academy of Plastic Arts and from the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) in Havana. Professor of drawing and from the Painting Department of the Faculty of Plastic Arts of the ISA. Member of the Public Interventions Department project (DIP).His works have been exhibited in Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Germany and United States. He participated in the Contemporary Cuban Art Salon and in collateral exhibitions in the Seventh, Eighth and Tenth Havana Biennials. He was awarded the 2007 National Curatorship Prize. Batiscafo Residence (Triangle Art Trust, Gasworks of England in Havana). His works can be found in private collections in Cuba, United States and Mexico.
2000 Professor of the Painting Workshop at “San Alejandro” National Academy of Fine Arts. Cuba.
At present, he is professor of Drawing and at the Painting Department of the School of Plastic Arts of the Higher Arts Institute in Havana, Cuba.
