Arturo Montoto Echevarría
Born in Pinar del Río, Cuba, 1953

Graduated from the School of Arts of Pinar del Río (1968-1972), and from the National School of Arts of Havana (1973-1977). In 1977, he studied in the Higher Institute of Arts and in the period of (1977-1978),he obtained a scholarship for the State Institute of Arts V.I. Súrikov, Moscow, where he obtained the degree of «Master of Fine Arts», specialized in Mural Painting (1978-1984). He has made individual exhibitions in Cuba, United States, Panama, Spain, Russia, Chile and French Guyana and he has taken part in several group exhibitions in Cuba, Norway, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and United States among other countries.He has participated in bids of Subastahabana auctions as well as in International Fairs and Salons. His works are part of institutional and private collections in Cuba, Argentina, Costa Rica, Colombia, United States, Brazil, Mexico, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Italy, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Panama, Puerto Rico and Chile.
